NEW ST MICHAEL'S YOUTH GROUP

We are excited to introduce St. Michael's Youth Group!   
A place for Friendship, Fun, Faith and Food. Come and meet new people, play games, enjoy snacks or a meal together, and discover or deepen your faith through fun activities, great 
videos and meaningful discussions, all in a safe and welcoming space.
Everyone in school years 7 to 13 is welcome. 
Why not drop in and see what it's all about! We look forward to seeing you there.

ASHTEAD CHURCHES TOGETHER MEN'S BREAKFAST
Saturday 18th July, 8:00-9:30am
St Michael's Church, ASHTEAD
We are a group of like-minded men from all the Christian churches in Ashtead, who wish to develop friendships and express their common faith beyond attending their various Sunday services. We meet monthly on Saturday mornings over a simple breakfast (normally £5). We have a diverse programme of speakers and topics to stimulate discussion, expand understanding, and deepen our faith... something for everyone!
All ages, backgrounds, shapes and interests are welcome - neighbours and friends, as well as regular churchgoers. This month's speaker & topic: Andy McGregor on St Michael's Bereavement Group.

PILGRIMAGE OF REPARATION & CONSECRATION
Saturday 18th July, 12:00 noon - 4:15pm
Church of Our Lady of Consolation & St Francis, West Grinstead, RH13 8LT.  
A pilgrimage for people across our diocese - the day includes Holy Mass, a personal Consecration to Our Lady, the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary, Exposition, Chaplet of Divine Mercy, Adoration and Benediction. There is no need to book. Please bring a packed lunch.

ADULT CATECHESIS
Thursday 23 July & most Thursdays, 7:00pm
In the Hall Annexe, St Ann's Church, BANSTEAD
An opportunity for parishioners to come together, to learn more about their faith, ask questions, and explore topics that matter most to them, or things they may have forgotten. For this session, we would love to hear your suggestions for themes or subjects you would like to discuss. Fr Ian will use your ideas to help form the evening. To show your interest please add your name and suggestions to the sign-up list in the porch at St Ann's.

WEBELIEVE FESTIVAL 2026

WeBelieve festival brings thousands together to encounter Jesus Christ in His Church. It’s an opportunity to discover the traditions and charisms that flow through the Church, to grow in authentic community, and to encounter the transforming love of God. Organised by the Guild of Our Lady of Ransom. Led by Archbishop John Wilson of Southwark.

A welcoming place to meet new people and enjoy relaxed conversation. Enjoy tea, coffee and biscuits, have a chat, play a board game or puzzle, bring along you own craft or colouring, or simply spend some time in a warm and friendly space. Just turn up - it's free. all welcome.
NOTE: the Hub will remain open on Fridays in July and August, with wine, Pimms, teas,  
coffees, etc, and, of course, cake. People are very welcome to bring their children and grandchildren (supervised by them of course!).

Mini-retreat on Zoom for spiritual renewal with Mass, Adoration, prophetic reflection, praise, testimony, inspiring talk and prayer. The guest speaker is Russ Fairman, member of the CHARIS National Service of Communion and part of the Harvesters Men's Network core team. He will speak on “HIS BANNER OVER US IS LOVE” - Responding to God's invitation to His heavenly banquet. Attendees are free to join and leave the meeting at any time. During the afternoon, there will be the opportunity to participate in a Telephone Prayer Ministry.

A new group for mums, dads and their children, ideal for families with children of any age group, up to the end of primary school. Join us for an afternoon of faith-sharing through stories, food, prayer and creative play. All welcome.

6th WORLD DAY FOR GRANDPARENTS AND ELDERLY

WORLDWIDE: celebration of life, experience and love declared by Pope Leo
So many of us remember with deep fondness our relationship with our grandparents as we grew up. The theme for the day is “I will never forget you" (Isaiah 49:15). What a wonderful opportunity to encourage our youngsters to phone, visit or reach out to their grandparents, “parish” grandparents, or elderly relatives to show their love and affection. VISIT OF THE RELICS OF ST GERARD MAJELLA
Tuesday 28th July, Private prayer from 6:00pm, Mass at 7:00pm

This year is the 300th anniversary of the birth of St Gerard Majella, who was an Italian lay brother of the Redemptorists. As part of the celebrations, his relics are touring around England and Wales, including a visit to our deanery. There will be an opportunity for private prayer from 6:00pm, Mass at 7:00pm concelebrated by Fr Royston Price CSsR and local clergy, followed by an opportunity for individual and family blessings with the relics. All welcome.

This new group, which first met in April, is open to young people in Years 6 to 11, offering a welcoming space to build friendships, have fun, and explore faith and life together.
We ask the whole parish community to join us in prayer, so that this initiative can provide a welcoming space where young people can grow in faith and friendship. Thank you!

One of the striking features of our Emmaus programme has been how developing friendships 
has enabled and encouraged growing in faith. Trusted relationships mean a safe space in which to explore questions about faith and its application to daily life. So we'd like to establish a regular opportunity for anyone and everyone to come together and deepen both friendships and faith. We'll begin with a social time, move into faith refection and end with prayer. 
Come along, bring a friend, make some new friends!

The House of Prayer, EAST MOLESEY
This is a retreat made in daily life. The sessions are experiential in nature and include prayer time, the use of scripture, music, art, poetry, reflection and sharing from the two leaders on their personal experience of prayer and life.

YOUNG ADULTS' RETREAT DAY

Young Adults (18-35) from across the UK are invited to join the Youth team from Arundel and Brighton Diocese for a Retreat Day. A jam-packed day of prayer, formation, friendship, and fun as together, we will seek hearts open to His healing presence, trusting that Jesus desires to bring freedom, restoration, and transformation to our lives. As we encounter Him, we pray to discover true peace within ourselves, to become peacemakers in the world around us, and to be renewed with an apostolic fire burning brightly within our hearts. Lunch and refreshments are included in the ticket price. Participants are very welcome to join the Parish Mass at 6.30pm, with social time at a local pub to follow.

​A&B DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO WALSINGHAM
Friday 23rd - Sunday 25th October
Departing from St Philip Howard Centre, CRAWLEY
Journey in prayer to Walsingham this Autumn, joining people from across our Diocese at "England's Nazareth", a great Marian Shrine of the Incarnation. Dating from around 1061, it was once one of the four principal shrines of Christendom, along with Rome, Jerusalem and Compostela, visited by many thousands of pilgrims. The Shrine's Pilgrimage Theme for 2026 is Mary, Cause of Our Joy. Our pilgrimage will be led by Fr David Murphy, of Weybridge moderated parish.
Prices include coach travel from Crawley to Walsingham and back, two nights' accommodation and meals on Friday (dinner), Saturday (breakfast / packed lunch / dinner) & Sunday (breakfast / cooked lunch).

PARISH MISSION
Monday 30th November - Wednesday 2nd December, 7:00-8:30pm
St Ann's Church, BANSTEAD
Three nights, led by Fr Royston, from the Redemptorist Monastery in South London. Fr Royston is the Missions Coordinator for his province, organising the Parish Mission apostolate and preaching around 20 missions a year. He is also the Vocations Director for the Redemptorists in the UK, helping young men discern the call of God. More details to follow ...
