7 APR

SEED SOWING & PICNIC
Tuesday 7th April, timing TO BE CONFIRMED, but somewhere between 11:00am & 5:45pm
St Ann's Church, BANSTEAD
Organised by the children's liturgy & flower garden team. Bring a picnic if you wish to. Tea, coffee and soft drinks will be provided. We will have songs and story about how seeds grow and activities and drawing for children to do. No experience necessary.
The event will still take place if the weather is bad: if necessary, it will be in the church hall.
There will be an opportunity for the children to sow a seed to take home and one for the flower garden. This year to encourage the children we will set aside an area in the border to transplant the children's flowers where they will be able to go and check on them.

Join us for a friendly discussion on a faith topic.

A DAY WITH MARY
Saturday 11th April, 8:25am-5:00pm
St Joseph's Church, EPSOM
Includes video on Our Lady of Fatima, Procession & Holy Mass (9:30am), recitation of the Rosary, exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, sermons, Confessions, Benediction, enrolment in the Brown Scapular and conferment of the Miraculous Medal. Please bring packed lunch.

FREE FAMILY MOVIE AFTERNOON
Saturday 11th April, 3:30pm
St John's Church Hall, TADWORTH
"The Prince of Egypt" - award-winning family-friendly animation movie. Rated PG, Run-time 99 minutes. Free entry, with tea, juice & popcorn included. Seats & cushions provided. All welcome.

HOLY HOUR FOR DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY

LIFE IN THE SPIRIT SEMINARS
Tuesdays 14th, 21st & 28th April, 12th & 19th May and 2nd June, 7:30pm

A series of seminars with guest speakers, hosted by Stuart Burman, who coordinates the delivery of the Charismatic Renewal International Service (CHARIS) in our diocese.
PLUS: celebratory Vigil Mass at Our Lady of Consolation, West Grinstead, on Sat. 23rd May.

Theodore House, Stonyhurst, LANCASHIRE
A retreat for singles, dating and engaged young adults who want to think more deeply about relationships and the call to marriage. A relaxed weekend with input, prayer, discussion and social, as well as the opportunity to meet like-minded others. Runs from Saturday 2nd to Sunday 3rd May, with the option of staying Friday night.

As our diocese currently has no Bishop, Canon Jonathan Martin, the Diocesan Administrator, has authorised priests to administer the Sacrament of Confirmation. Candidates from Ashtead, Banstead, Dorking, Effingham & Fetcham, Epsom, Ewell and Tadworth will be making their Confirmation at one of the two services in Epsom. Services in their local churches will be held for candidates from Cobham and Leatherhead.
All candidates will receive more details from their local catechists.

MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS TRAINING

Thanks to Mental Health England, we can offer training to explore the realities, symptoms and impacts of living with mental health conditions. Highly subsidised tickets £40 (usually £120). Tea & coffee  available all day, but please bring packed lunch.

DEANERY 24-HOUR VIGIL FOR PENTECOST
Friday 22nd May, 10:00am until Saturday 23rd May
St Joseph's Church, EPSOM
An opportunity to pray together, beginning with Mass at 10:00am on Friday, with readings, prayers and the opportunity for private adoration, ending with concelebrated Mass at 10:00am on Saturday, followed by a social event.

MINISTRY OF CONSOLATION FORMATION & COMMISSIONING
Wednesday 27th May, 10:00am-3:00pm
St Bernadette's Church, Tilgate Way, CRAWLEY
For members of the Ministry of Consolation, join us for a day of celebration and training. In the morning we will be looking at the practicalities of planning a funeral along with a briefing from the Diocesan Liturgy Adviser on the role of lay led funerals going forward and how the Ministry can be involved. In the afternoon we will have Mass together before celebrating the Commissioning of our newest members to our team and also taking part in ongoing formation.
There is plenty of parking available at St Bernadette's. Refreshments will be served but please bring a packed lunch.

CORPUS CHRISTI CARPET OF FLOWERS

ARUNDEL CATHEDRAL
Experience Arundel's beautiful Carpet of Flowers celebrating Corpus Christi. On Thursday, Mass begins at 5:30pm, followed by a procession to Arundel Castle. All are very welcome to attend.

PARISH MISSION

St Ann's Church, BANSTEAD
Three nights, led by Fr Royston, from the Redemptorist Monastery in South London. Fr Royston is the Missions Coordinator for his province, organising the Parish Mission apostolate and preaching around 20 missions a year. He us also the Vocations Director for the Redemptorists in the UK, helping young men discern the call of God. More details to follow ...
